Sessions
March 9, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm
We’ve got another great line-up of music for your listening pleasure. We’re welcoming Terri Lachance of the Terri & Rob duo to her first appearance at Sessions.
As always, it’s BYOB. And bring a pot luck dish to share as well, if you’d like.
Here’s the full line-up:
6:30 — Terri Lachance (of the Terri & Rob duo)
Terri Lachance has been writing songs since High school to try to formulate how she feels about the events surrounding her life. These observations have come out in songs about social justice, relationships being a mother and personal philosophy.
7:00 – Matt Bennett
Matthew Bennett is a diverse singer/songwriter. His songs are fun, insightful and groovy. In live performance he covers some of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century.
7:30 – Joe Stein
Joe Stein sings & accompanies himself on the keys, often creating unique arrangements of a wide range of rock, pop, folk, jazz, and R&B songs and infusing both older and more contemporary music with his own spin.
8:00 – Deep Weather
Sandy Connolly (aka the High Priestess of Crescendo Music Loft) and Ted Ervin (Major Domo at The Loft) play a blend of blues, rock, and Americana that sounds simultaneously old and new. Featuring Sandy’s serious vocal chops and Ted’s inventive bass lines, they exude the joy and fun music provides.
8:30 - 9:00 Break
9:00 – The Repeat Offenders (this is their 3rd offense)
In the tradition of Forrest Gump, the Repeat Offenders is like a box of chocolates. While Forrest Gump’s mom said that you never know what you’re gonna get, you can always count on the Repeat Offenders to deliver a sinewy blend of roots music (vintage blues, rockabilly, country and rock & roll).
9:30 – Tommy McKnapp & The Blarney Stoners
Once a year, near the Ides of March, the wee Tommy McKnapp pokes his head out of the ground and gathers his woodland creature friends (aka musicians, but you’d be excused for having trouble telling the difference ) for a night of reverie and good craic. And beer. Lots of beer.
10:00 – The Racket Downstairs
Like a roller skate in a tumble dryer, they produce a rhythmic thumping and screeching that almost sounds like music.
