6:30-Alex McGuire
Youth XL is a kooky, garage-pop band from New Haven, CT. Their tunes are characterized by crunchy guitars, tender harmonies, and charmingly irreverent lyrics about break-ups, acid reflux, and flirtatious nomads.
7:00—Tabor Praise Band
Tabor Band from Tabor Lutheran Church, Branford, gets together a couple of times each month. They spin out contemporary Christian and folk along with some pop to engage a diverse group of folks. At The Loft, they will be presenting some crossover music which most everyone will know. They are used to having folks sing along! So feel free to join in or just sit back and listen.
7:30—Naked Pants & The Bio Psycho Socials
Students from Loft Tuesdays’ Gig 101 class – Danielle Butti, Jamie White, Chuck Langley, and Sandy Connolly will be sporting new Pistol Annies material (among others) backed by smoking rhythm section Justin Paglino (keys), Ted Ervin (bass), and Peter Magnotti (drums).
8:00—Joe Stein
Joe Stein sings & accompanies himself on the keys, often creating unigue arrangements of a wide range of rock, pop, folk, jazz, and R&B songs and infusing both older and more contemporary music with his own spin. He also plays the trumpet, often sitting in with variety of local bands in the Shoreline music scene, and plays 1st trumpet in the Yale Medical Symphony Orchestra. Joe lives with his wife and daughter in Branford, where he teaches in the Branford public school system.
9:00—Matt Bennett
Matthew Bennett is a diverse singer/songwriter. His songs are fun, insightful and groovy. Live he covers some of the greatest writers of the 20th century.
9:30—Repeat Offenders
In the tradition of Forrest Gump, the Repeat Offenders is like a box of chocolates, including: Barry Felson – lead vocals & rhythm guitar, Peter Menta (aka Washboard Slim) – harmonica, washboard & vocals, Justin Paglino – keyboards & vocals, Pete Magnotti – drums, Ted Ervin – bass & vocals. While Forrest Gump’s mom said that you never know what you’re gonna get, you can always count on the Repeat Offenders to deliver a sinewy blend of roots music (vintage blues, rockabilly, country and rock & roll).
10:00—The Grateful Dads
Ryan McNamara and Friends are steeped in classic rock and blues, performing songs by the likes of The Grateful Dead, Derek & the Dominoes, Traffic, and more. A great way to end the evening!
