MUSIC MIND GAMES & MORE
Music Mind Games is a successful and popular method to teach music theory and guide students to become musically literate. These hands-on classes cover basic music theory concepts such as the musical alphabet, intervals, rhythm reading, melodic dictation, solfege, the grand staff, musical symbols, tempos, key signatures and scale study. HARMONY STUDIES
We will use the Kolaly Choral progressive course of exercises in intonation and learn to sing harmony beginning with simple songs. Our repertoire will feed the Community Song Project.
CORE CURRICULUM (a.k.a. Adult Detention
Hang with your peers and learn foundational concepts of music in a relaxed and informal setting. BYOB and snacks.
BREATHING TECHNIQUE & EXERCISES FOR VOCAL ARTISTRY
Learn 10 Basic Exercises for Developing Vocal Artistry by Larra Browning Henderson. Mastering these highly-technical, challenging exercises will improve your vocal technique, strength and ability so that you and your audience will be able to hear and feel the difference!
COMMUNITY SONG PROJECT (Open to the Public)
Bring your family and come sing with us. Mostly-acoustic, all ages, skill levels, and instruments welcome. Learn all the songs we think you should know from Crescendo-trained song leaders culled from our student body. We will start with the youngest musicians and move on to more advanced musicians later in the evening.
LIVESTREAM FROM THE LOFT
Performance opportunity for all Crescendo students. Songs need to be approved by your teacher. Show off your chops!
