Although Justin’s background in science and medicine is noteworthy, it is of virtually no use to him as a piano player and teacher. Fortunately, he also has many years of experience as a professional gigging piano player and as a piano teacher. Justin and Sandy go way back as bandmates in the late but great “Sandy Connolly Band.” Although his socks may not always match, Justin may be just the perfect match for you as a teacher who loves to share his knowledge of music and to help students develop the ability to reach all their musical dreams and become full-fledged independent musicians. He can’t wait to teach you a 13th chord someday, or how to solo over a ii-V7-i progression. First, however, you must learn all your scales! When not playing or teaching piano, you may find Justin in the general area driving his daughter around, hiking with his family, standing earnestly at the local weekly peace vigil, or punishing a local tennis ball for its crimes against humanity.
