Sessions

October 12, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm

We’ve got another great line-up of music for your listening pleasure. As always, it’s BYOB. And bring a pot luck dish to share as well, if you’d like.

Here’s the full line-up:

6:30 – George John

George John is a guitarist/vocalist who plays a wide variety of well-known classic pop/rock/country songs from the 60s through the 90s. From artists such as The Eagles, America, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, The Beatles, Bob Seger, The Beach Boys and many more. George John also plays a handful of his own original songs.

7:00 – Tony Regets

Tony Regets

They say that music is the language of the soul and has the power to transport us to another time and place. Nothing could be truer for me. I love to harness that power with a broad audience of friends, passionate music lovers and fellow musicians alike. Since a young age, I have found great joy and satisfaction in making music and sharing it with my community.

7:30 – Joe Stein

Joe Stein is a singer who accompanies himself on the keys, often creating his own arrangements of a wide range of rock, pop, folk, jazz, and R&B songs and infusing both older and more contemporary music with his own unique spin. He also plays the trumpet, often sitting in with variety of local bands in the Shoreline music scene, and he plays 1st trumpet in the Yale Medical Symphony Orchestra. Joe lives with his wife and daughter in Branford, where he teaches in the public school system.

8:00 – Ghost of A Chance

Comprised of musicians from the Shoreline area, “A Ghost of a Chance” plays an eclectic mix of rock ‘n roll and other sundry items. Rick Allen of Westbrook on guitar and vocals, Andrew Petrie of East Lyme on bass and vocals, and both Carl Iaccarino (on drums) and Bill Carroll (guitar and vocals)  hail from Guilford.

Originally calling themselves “The Monday Night Band” because of the rehearsal time, they’ve have tried desperately to come up with an original name. Since “Monday Night Band” was already taken, it was a difficult if not impossible task. Until someone said, “We’ve got a ghost of a chance to come up with name.”

8:30 – 9:00 Break

9:00 – Sandy & Abigail Connolly

Mother daughter duo performing covers by Adele, Alina Engibaryan, Theo Katzman, and Kate Wolf (inspired by I’m With Her and Moira Smiley). Sandy has never heard of most of these artists either. Abigail is going to keep us all up to date.

9:30 – Ainjils

Ainjils are everywhere and include a pilot, social worker, teacher, and engineer full of rock blues, jazz and country (and a goddess).

10:00 – Repeat Offenders

In the tradition of Forrest Gump, the Repeat Offenders is like a box of chocolates, including: Barry Felson – lead vocals & rhythm guitar; Peter Menta (aka Washboard Slim) – harmonica, washboard & vocals; Justin Paglino – keyboards & vocals; Pete Magnotti – drums; Steve Plaziak – lead guitar & vocals; Ted Ervin – bass & vocals; Dave Geisler – bass, lead guitar & vocals

While Forrest Gump’s mom said that you never know what you’re gonna get, you can always count on the Repeat Offenders to deliver a sinewy blend of roots music (vintage blues, rockabilly, country and rock & roll).
