They’ll be covering everything from blues, country, jazz, and pop
7:00—Cash Lane Slim
Cash Lane Slim is an Acoustic Songsmith; a writer and interpreter of the American music experience. Drawing from many styles, he builds from pure and evocative acoustic simplicity to create lush overlays of looping soundscapes. His unique vocalization and harmonies play over the range of originals and covers.
7:30—Joe Stein
Joe Stein sings & accompanies himself on the keys, often creating unigue arrangements of a wide range of rock, pop, folk, jazz, and R&B songs and infusing both older and more contemporary music with his own spin. He also plays the trumpet, often sitting in with variety of local bands in the Shoreline music scene, and plays 1st trumpet in the Yale Medical Symphony Orchestra. Joe lives with his wife and daughter in Branford, where he teaches in the Branford public school system.
8pm—Deep Weather
Sandy Connolly (aka the High Priestess of Crescendo Music Loft) and Ted Ervin play a blend of blues, rock, and Americana that sounds simultaneously old and new. Featuring Sandy’s serious vocal chops and Ted’s inventive bass lines, they exude the joy and fun music provides.
9:00—Tom Knapp
Tom Knapp is your basic Swiss-army musician, singing and playing a mutitude of instruments including sax, flute, harmonica, mandolin, and guitar. If you’ve been out to see live music in the area you’ve probably seen Tom playing with Jam Chowder, The Knuckleheads, The Mojo Boys, Crown Street Orchestra, Bodhisattva, or just jumping up and jamming with whoever’s playing. Always fun, always entertaining, and always great music!
9:30—The Racket Downstairs
Like a roller skate in a tumble dryer, The Racket Downstairs produce a rhythmic thumping and screeching that almost sounds like music.
10:00—Ryan McNamara & Friends
Ryan McNamara and Friends are steeped in classic rock and blues, performing songs by the likes of The Grateful Dead, Derek & the Dominoes, Traffic, and more. A great way to end the evening!
